What we keep
Your email address, and your first name if you give it.
Your answers to the two questions: which phone you have, and whether you wear a smartwatch or fitness tracker.
Where you heard about Pacent, if the link you followed tells us.
When you joined and when you confirmed.
The one cookie on these pages is there to protect the form from forged submissions.
Why we keep it
To send you updates on how Pacent is coming along, invite you to try it early, and tell you when it launches.
To decide which phones Pacent should support, and how soon it should read smartwatches and fitness trackers.
To find out which of our posts and links bring people to the list.
We do this with your consent, which you give by confirming your email address. You can take it back at any time by taking yourself off the list.
Who else handles it
Mailtrap, run by Railsware Products Studio LLC, sends our emails. It keeps a record of each email it sends, including your address, on servers in the United States.
Our server is in the UK. Its database is backed up to Cloudflare, and each backup is kept for 7 days. An address you remove can stay in a backup for up to a week.
We don't sell your details or share them with anyone for marketing.
How long we keep it
If you don't confirm your email address, we delete it after 7 days.
Once you've confirmed, we keep your details until you take yourself off the list, or until Pacent launches to everyone and we've told you.
When you leave the list or don't confirm, we keep a count of it with your two answers and where you heard about Pacent, but not your email address or name.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@pacent.fit.
Every email we send has a link that takes you off the list straight away.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
